Sustainability at The Art Institute of Atlanta

Welcome from the Green Committee of The Art Institute of Atlanta (GAIA). The committee was formed in 2007, by The Art Institute of Atlanta faculty and staff, as a commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainability on campus and in the greater community. GAIA established a web site in Fall 2008 as a part of its commitment to furthering awareness and involvement in sustainability initiatives on campus, to offer an information resource on sustainability issues, and to share news of environmental accomplishments and events on campus as well as community.

Message from the President

Welcome to the Web site for the Green Committee of The Art Institute of Atlanta! Here you can find out about green initiatives at The Art Institute’s campus in Sandy Springs, as well as tips and suggestions for making your life greener both personally and professionally.

Since 1949, The Art Institute of Atlanta has been committed to students and their educational and professional success in their chosen fields. This commitment begins in college and continues through graduates who are lifelong learners and important contributors to their communities.

In addition to their contributions professionally, Ai Atlanta students, faculty, and staff are engaged in their communities other ways, including volunteering their talents and skills to organizations large and small to help make their corner of the world a better place.

The Green Committee of The Art Institute of Atlanta (GAIA) was formed in 2007 as a commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainability on the campus and in the community. GAIA has established a Web site to communicate their commitment to sustainability, offer a resource for the campus community and the public, and share news of environmental accomplishments and events on campus.

Through GAIA, The Art Institute has fostered awareness and involvement among students, faculty, and staff, and has encouraged a stronger sense of social responsibility.

I invite you to visit this site often and become part of the GAIA community.

Janet S. Day
President
